Saturday 08-16-2008 3:11pm CT
Recently(last week)after agreeing to allow a memorial service for music legend Issac Hayes, the fine folks at Hope Presbyterian Church, were besieged with angry e-mails and stupid telephone calls. This was due to a press report that a Los Angeles Scientology minister was going to conduct, a religious service. this statement was not true. What is true is that, the response to this false story was anger and meaness. This not what a lover of Christ, should or would do. This vemon is truly scary....
Politics, Politics, Politics
Saturday 08-09-2008 3:33pm CT
This past week was one for the record books. Congressman Steve Cohen defeated challenger Nikki Tinker with 80% of the vote, in the 9th Congressional District. This race was heated and certainly controversial, with the tv ads that were run. Congressman or Congressperson Marsha Blackburn handly defeated Tom Leatherwood, in a equally bitter and angry race. It has been said that politics is the art of the possible. Well this week, one would have to shake his or her head at the anger and the bitterness displayed by these public servants. More to come/stay tuned**
Change on the way for Supreme Court.....
Sunday 07-13-2008 3:18pm CT
This next presidential election is critical for this nation, Why? The next Pesident will probaly appoint two or possibly even three Supreme Court justices. John Paul Stevens is 88, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg is 75, they make up half of the liberal contingent still on the high court. Rumor has it, that they may retire. If this is true, the next President, whether its brother Hussien or Brother Mccain, will undoubtedly appoint new justices that reflect thier respective political bent and thought. In view of this we must elect a true conservative who loves this country, and it is not Brother Hussien.....
